Hi, my name is Amanda. You might be wondering who I am. According to Gallup®, I am a strategic achiever who is confident in her decision-making and relates to people on a deep, personal level, all while following my strong inner compass (Strategic, Achiever, Self-Assurance, Relator, Belief). And, Gallup® also says that I am a Conductor with Disruptor tendencies (Builder Profile Assessment). According to Wiley's DISC instrument, I am type Si (Steadiness with Influence).
With so many people trying to tell us who we are, I choose to look first to a historical document that has survived for thousands of years, the Bible. It tells me that I was created for a purpose, and I am loved beyond measure. The experts keep telling me that I need to choose a side when consulting and coaching, either my purpose is to work with Christians or non-Christians. But the Bible tells me to be salt and light for all people (Matthew 5:13-16). It tells me that my neighbor is the person in front of me and that we are all equal in God's sight. It teaches me to love without limits. So what you will get from me as a consultant and a coach is honesty, integrity, and respect. I will not tuck away who I am or what I believe, but I will always respect your beliefs and, for companies, adhere to your policies.
Whether I am working with an individual, a family, or a company, my goal will be to help you build a thriving culture. People are more than just their life circumstances and job descriptions. I believe that lasting success comes from a caring, team-oriented culture where people's strengths and passions are employed and celebrated.
I grew up in Helena, Alabama, and completed my education at the University of Montevallo (B.S. in Speech Language Pathology) and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (MBA). I worked in banking for over 18 years, starting as a data entry clerk and finishing my banking career as Executive Vice President, overseeing operational areas related to loans, then fraud prevention. I married a pastor, Chris DeGreen, in 2014 and became a stepmom to three amazing kids. I love volunteering with adults with intellectual disabilities and anything related to helping people to know their worth.
I have the practical experience of managing and leading operational teams of up to 320 amazing people, while also developing and implementing development programs for all levels of employees. I know how difficult it is to manage the expectations of senior leaders, auditors, regulators, customers, and your own team, while also trying to help the team develop and become a more cohesive group. And, I care about you and your team. Let's get started.
